From the home screen, tap the + button at the bottom. Give the project a name, pick its currency, and you’re set.

Open the project, then add participants from the member list. Every participant can pay for or owe on an expense.

Share the project URL (the one in your address bar). Anyone with the link can view and edit the project.

Inside a project, tap +, enter the amount, say who paid and who to split it between. You can also pick a date other than today.

• Expense - a purchase made by one person and split between several.
• Transfer - a repayment from one person to another, with no split.
• Gain - money received (a refund, a gift) to split between several people.

Yes, the date field is free. The record’s creation time is kept separately.

Counted computes each participant’s net balance (what they fronted minus what they owe), then proposes the shortest series of transfers that settles everyone.

The algorithm first pairs balances that cancel out exactly, then works through the rest from the largest creditor to the largest debtor. The result: fewer transfers to settle everything.

From the home screen, tap the “+” button at the bottom, then Import from Tricount. Paste the share link of the Tricount you want to import.

Yes. Counted combines two guarantees:

• End-to-end encryption - everything between you and the server travels encrypted.
• Zero access - you encrypt the data before sending it, and the server stores nothing but ciphertext. We have no way to read it.

Your data will be permanently lost.

The encryption key is derived from your password, so no reset is possible: nobody - us included - can decrypt your projects without it. Keep it safe, ideally in a password manager.

From the project screen, open the menu and choose Archive to hide it while keeping it. A project is deleted for good once its last member leaves it.

Open Settings and use “Delete my account”. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
